Health Cash Plans benefit employersCompanies who provide their employees with access to the Orchard Healthcare Plan will benefit in a number of ways

  • Employees will be more focused on their own health and wellbeing (healthy employees are more productive!)
  • Speeding up diagnosis of illness should help reduce absenteeism and its related costs to employers (The CBI/Pfizer 2013 report quoted UK absenteeism costs at £14 Billion p.a.!)
  • Lengthy NHS waiting lists for diagnosis or treatment may be avoided helping your employees back to work “in good time” after periods of absence.
  • Access to post-operative therapy e.g. Physiotherapy can speed up the recovery process helping to reduce absenteeism and delays.
  • Help with the expenses for regular medical care (dental, optical, chiropody etc.) will spread the costs for employees ensuring they take the treatment when needed.
  • Levels of “employer support” towards the cost of membership of the Orchard Healthcare Plan can be tailored to meet the company circumstances ( subsidy of 0% to 100%) supported by deductions from pay where necessary.

Employer subsidy options for the Orchard Healthcare Plan

Many employers recognise the value of “Cashplans” in the UK with 2.88 million policies covering an estimated 5 million people. They have been going since the late 40`s when the NHS was formed.

Companies have a number of options to arrange the financing of employee membership as outlined below.


The employer pays the entire membership subscription for those eligible to be included.
The member will be able to extend membership to his/her family members on payment of the relevant subscription to the company through pay deductions or to Orchard Healthcare direct.
NIL SUBSIDY Membership is optional and paid entirely by the employee through deductions from pay.
Membership can be extended to family members through deductions from pay or direct to Orchard Healthcare.
VARIOUS SUBSIDY OPTIONS FROM 0% to 100% Membership can be offered to employees at various subsidy levels to be decided by the Employer from 0% to 100% with the employees proportion paid by pay deductions.
Families can also be included paid for by the member.
