Good Morning Britain reported this morning that almost half
of patients have stopped visiting the dentist due to the expense. With this in mind it is worth planning how you
will budget for the expense of your next dental treatment, one method to
consider is dental insurance or dental plans.
Dental insurance can be offered through dental cash plans which enable
patients to claim back for dental treatment.
Whether it is NHS or private
treatment both are covered through dental cash plans. Orchard Healthcare offer four levels of cash
plans, each one offering a differing amount towards your dental treatment. The most popular ‘green’ level of the cash
plan offers £120 towards cash back towards dental treatment for the annual cost
of only £96.72.
This amount is available 12 monthly through a rolling 12
month plan. To benefit from the dental
insurance simply have you dental treatment and submit your receipt along with a
claim form and we will then contribute 50% of the cost of your dental
Typically most people have a couple of dental check ups each
year, as well as a visit to the hygienist.
Our dental plans cover a visit to the hygienist as well as the dentist. Many dentists now offer private hygienist appointments
alongside their regular NHS check-ups. The
costs of a private hygienist visit can typically be £40, with 50% of this cost
refunded through the dental cash plans, taking caring of your teeth becomes
much more affordable.
The advantage Orchard Healthcare’s cash plan has over dental
plans is that rather than being just for dental treatment the plan covers all
other areas of your health as well. From optical benefit allowing you to claim
money towards glasses each year through to physiotherapy and specialist consultations. Your everyday health needs are financially
supported with a cash plan.
Good Morning Britain also reported that one in ten people go
as far as the extreme measure of DIY dentisty to fix their dental problem! Don’t wait until it’s too late to visit the
dentist or attempt DIY dentistry yourself - find an NHS dentist and keep on top
of your check-ups with twice yearly visits in order to keep your teeth and gums
