News articles supporting the case for low cost healthcare insurance and health cash plans

Employer-paid private medical insurance (PMI) policies have declined in the last 12 months, whereas the number of employer-paid health cash plan contributors rose by 12% over the same period.

As employers look to keep their employees at work health cash plans are increasingly found to be the more affordable and the option more likely to be utilised.  Offering an affordable alternative to PMI.

A recent new membership enquiry we received testified to this switch from PMI to health cash plans with the prospective member stating that they were in a PMI scheme but were frustrated that they couldn’t claim for treatments such as acupuncture that they wanted to have.  Therefore they were looking to cancel their £100 per month PMI and instead join the health cash plan for as little as £4.63 a month, a monthly saving of £95.37 and they could actually claim back for the treatments that they wanted to have!
